Yes, the stock sendmail.cf file that redhat supplies should work just fine for a single domain with local mailboxes. If you are trying to setup something fancy like virtual hosting, special authentication mechanisims, etc... then you will probably have to make additions to the redhat supplied sendmail.mc file and then recreate sendmail.cf.
