Is it possible for the mailing list handler to reject any message that has "(Out of Office)" in the subject? That seems to be a standard entry for that autoresponder. That will at least stop everyone else seeing it and stop the looping. A next step might be to automatically unsubscribe anyone posting such a message, if that is possible.
