Network Failure System ... wait... File System was not designed to be
used w/ untrusted hosts / networks.  You will have to branch out and
look at either CODA, or AFS..   It seems insane, but I honestly use
Samba for some services between my linux boxes, but only in rare cases.

What are you looking to do excatly?
