When I want to search on Redhat mailing-list, I usually use this website: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=redhat-list&r=1&w=2 The site also archives a lot of other mailing-lists and linux-distro mailing list. I've had pretty good hits when doing search from there. But I also agree that the archive at redhat.com sucks. For people who doesn't know, this is the first place to look for mailing-list arvhice, so redhat needs to do something about it.
