You did not mention which version of Windows.. W95 and 98 have their own version of a fax, which is saved in the .awd format. What I would do is open your fax in G3 format in the Gimp in Linux, then save it to a standard tiff format. In winders 98, the built in fax viewer should be able to read a standard tiff file. It has been a long time since I have used winders... It it will not read it, you can download many free programs from winders, that are jpg viewers. Most is these will also read tiff formats too, then you can view, print, etc in winders. You mentioned that you could send them the file by email, etc... this would be a perfect for using SAMBA for file sharing, etc.. but that is another story. > The conversion from G3 format to Win Fax format is what I like to know. As far as I know, you cannot convert G3 to a window98 .awd fax format. That format is deprecated anyway...
