Personally, I try the core pcmcia tools that come with RedHat (kernel-pcmcia package). I'm pretty sure that Prism II based chipsets are supported by it. From there it typically a simple matter to add the necessary parameters to /etc/pcmcia/wireless.opts to enable your wireless connection.
