Thanks! yeah, the /root directory had a huge 6.5GB tmp ark archive... I don't know what made that.. but its gone now. I should have looked more closely at the directories, the /root directory in konqorer said it had a negative few billion bytes... odd... the command line said 6.6GB... anyway, thanks! 13GB free :) that feels much better.
