It is not installed by default, however. You need to install the imap package. > Edit > /etc/xinet.d/ipop3 > > disbale=yes ---> disable=no > > Then run > > service xinetd restart > > and > > telnet localhost 110 > to check it. This is often misunderstood, and more easily handled by a single command. This applies to Red Hat releases since (at least) 7.1, perhaps earlier. Simply run 'chkconfig ipop3 on', and you are done. No need to manually edit /etc/xinet.d/ipop3, and xinetd will reread it's configuration files automatically. - -- - -Michael pgp key: http://www.tuxfan.homeip.net:8080/gpgkey.txt Red Hat Linux 7.2 in 8M of RAM: http://www.rule-project.org/ - -- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iEYEARECAAYFAj1F7RcACgkQn/07WoAb/SvK9wCfSFdMqTKQaqY0DwQzpYmSFBrk rPYAnRFWMrgL/0x+9/yByvA6fBZphCkI =F/zS -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Redhat-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
