You are normally safer burning to cdr
The problem with CDrw (and high speed CDR) is that there are so many
proprietary formats around , often equating to the particular make, you
can never be totally sure that a cd rw burned in one writer will play on
another cd reaser/writer

Just to be sure burn CDR 4x and below (you can burn to a CDRW, just use
cdr format)
