Edit /etc/hosts and assign the real hostname to the real IP address, if
you have a fixed IP on the machine. If the IP is dynamic, then put the
real hostname on the same line as localhost.

# My /etc/hosts file, for dynamic IP
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost linuxbox.localdomain linuxbox

# My /etc/hosts file, for static IP
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
192.168.0.1 linuxbox.localdomain linuxbox

Then run the 'hostname' command to set the hostname and edit
/etc/sysconfig/network to set the hostname so that it will be preserved
through network restarts.
