Have been trying to put linux 7.2 on an Intel SRMKU server with a SRCU31L
Raid controller.

Anaconda loads the gdth module, however never finds the drives. Have tried
several combinations to the install and various gdth modules and nothing
seems to work.

I have read in several locations of people having issues with this
controller, but a solution has not been posted.

Here is what has been tried...

Server Bios:
AMBIOS PT030LEA.86B.0003.P.0105251002

Raid controller:
1 Controller(s) Found, selftest OK scanning scsi bus...

Attempt 1:
1. booted from linux 7.2 installation cd
2. enter text mode <enter>
3. loading gdth driver (scsi)
4. answered questions on language and what type of installation (server)
5. Select any of the following ( autopartitioning, disk druid, fdisk)
6. error -- no valid drives were found for the new filesystem

press Alt-F3 (same for all attempts)
*suggestion gdth device
*found gdth device
* going to insmod gdth.o (path is null)
/tmp/gdth.o: init_module: %m
insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters including invalid
IO or IRQ parameters

FYI: board bios specifies IRQ 9

Please respond to [EMAIL PROTECTED] as well as to the list if you
know of a solution or know of a way to force the installer to find the
controller...

Thanks,
