I see that kernel 2.4.18 (shipping with RedHat 7.3) has stable patches for ReiserFS, and it seems as if reiserfs is now stable enough to be used safely. But the RedHat installer does not offer an option to format any partitions with reiserfs dusring installation. Is there a reason for this, or is it an oversight? Is there any way to format the root partition as reiserfs?
