Please DON'T run wine as root!!! It is alpha software, with many bugs. The version of wine that comes with Redhat is quite old, at least in "wine years" :-) I would strongly recommend getting and installing a current version. Before installing a new version of wine, you should uninstall the Redhat version. http://www.winehq.com/ Also, the best place for wine questions would be the newsgroup comp.emulators.ms-windows.wine That said, to run wine, you need the file ~/.wine/config This is a configuration file, and your error message above is caused because wine cannot find that file. It can be created with the tool "wineinstall". Since I don't use the Redhat version of wine, I don't know whether they included that tool or not. Alternatively, the wine docs should contain a sample config file; it is plain text. Again, I don't know where that would be in the Redhat wine. _______________________________________________ Redhat-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
