Placed At :Hi, We have a T3 storage device for which a E3500 is acting as NFS server. The NFS clients to this storage are four Dell poweredge 2450 running redhat linux. We are facing the problem of slow response over the NFS. We undertook some tests wherein the storage device was NFS mounted on boxes running Redhat linux and also on boxes running Solaris and compared the performance. When a solaris client was transferring the data over NFS, the transfer was more than 5 times faster as compared to ..when a linux client was transferring the data over NFS to/from the same storage. Can anyone please share with us his similar experience and help us in fine tuning the Redhat linux nfs client parameters to speed up the NFS performance.
