I found a book that explains how to configure hosts and domains on private IP address. The book says I can do that only if I have an interface to activate the IP address on, i.e. ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.3
eth0 on my machine is currently tied to 127.0.01 can I use it for the private IP addresses as well? If I need more than one private IP address can activate them all on eth0. thank you in advance.
