I have a Pentium 4 1700 MHz and I run RedHat 7.2. I was able to go through the installation process and Linux is running just fine on my PC. I can log in my machine, start X and everything...
But now I want to compile my kernel to add PPP for a dialup connection. I receive no error from the compilation process. The problem come when I try to boot with my new image. The computer start booting the new image but stop suddenly. CPU clock speed is 1707.5340 MHz ..... host bus clock speed is 0.0000 MHz cpu: 0, clocks: 0, slice: 0 and after that, the PC just stop.
