Sorry, I missed the start of this thread. Your best bet is to track down the problem with RPM. Even if you do manage to un-install it, without RPM, reinstalling it without rpm will be tricky. I've never tried, but I doubt rpm will happily uninstall itself, even if it were working. What Red Hat release are you running? What version of rpm do you have installed? Try: rpm --version (It sounds like 'rpm -q rpm' won't work?) Did you make any changes prior to RPM breaking? If rpm is working at all, what is the output of: rpm -qvv rpm - -D - -- pgp key: http://www.tuxfan.homeip.net:8080/pgpkey.txt - -- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE8XUaMeMAUbzJhSVcRAtY+AJ93gWFBkkt+nJLuyovB1CN49U9D3gCdFDbp TuhJn7HjZQwcMgmloSNnQdk= =Dbnu -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Redhat-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
