I've tried with 2 different cables on 2 different ports at the hub, and this didn't resolve the problem.
During installation, I did set the firewall for medium, allowing ssh, telnet, mail, and web. I also set aside ports 10000 (webmin), 8080 (zope), 8090 (apache-frontpage) and 5432 (postgresql).
