Did you put the appropriate entries into
/etc/aliases and run newaliases? You should have entries like the
following:
## mnbasset-announce mailing list
## created: 14-Oct-2000 root mnbasset-announce: "|/var/mailman/mail/wrapper post mnbasset-announce" mnbasset-announce-admin: "|/var/mailman/mail/wrapper mailowner mnbasset-announce" mnbasset-announce-request: "|/var/mailman/mail/wrapper mailcmd mnbasset-announce" mnbasset-announce-owner: mnbasset-announce-admin And then you should see entry like the following in your /var/log/maillog: Jan 28 18:54:29 www sendmail[8935]: g0T0sSl08934: to="|/var/mailman/mail/wrapper post mnbasset-announce", ctladdr=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> (8/0), delay=00:00:01, xdelay=00:00:01, mailer=prog, pri=32398, dsn=2.0.0, stat=Sent If you've got the entry in maillog, then go to
~mailman/logs and look in post and bounce. You should see a 1-line entry
in post saying that mailman received the e-mail.
You may want to check the list through the web
interface and check the archives or the pending administrative request queue to
see if it's there. There's a possibility that the message was received but
you just haven't received notification of it yet.
Cheers,
.../Ed
