Nope, If your program is only written for MS SQL 2000, it's about 99.9% sure that it uses proprietary MS technology like MS Transact-SQL stored procedures, and posibly MS SQL 2000 XML features, MS full-text search and the like. You will need to ask the developers of the package if they have another version of the package or if someone is willing to modify it. I've got Ten bucks that says they don't.

Subject: Re: MSSQL to ???? Linux (new question)

Is it only possible to first make a DB in MSSQL and then exporting it to
MySQL or PostgreSQL, or can i also build an MSSQL compatible DB from
scratch?

I'm asking this because we're gonna upgrade our bookkeeping program to a
windows version (it's only DOS now) and that new program can only function
with MSSQL 2000, but we're running a Novell network. So for MSSQL 2000 to
function we'll have to implement a Win2000 server just for this DB, with
licenses for all users who log in, which comes to about a 100. If I could
just run a MSSQL 2000 comp. DB program on Linux, that would fit us better.

Thanx
