Is it only possible to first make a DB in MSSQL and then exporting it
to
MySQL or PostgreSQL, or can i also build an MSSQL compatible DB from scratch? I'm asking this because we're gonna upgrade our bookkeeping program to a windows version (it's only DOS now) and that new program can only function with MSSQL 2000, but we're running a Novell network. So for MSSQL 2000 to function we'll have to implement a Win2000 server just for this DB, with licenses for all users who log in, which comes to about a 100. If I could just run a MSSQL 2000 comp. DB program on Linux, that would fit us better. Thanx Patrick Lankhorst
