I've found some do, some don't. IIRC, since they (RH rpms) don't put things in exactly the same place a SuSE RPM would, the apps don't show up on the menus in KDE, etc. > One of the biggest differences that I see, is the absolutely astounding > documentation supplied by SuSE, as they include several books with the > distros, covering just about everything, They even have a manual for > networking. I must admit, I am getting addicted to the RHN though. <g> > Yes. SuSE is the master when it comes to useful documentation included w/ the boxed set. If Red Hat were to adopt *one* thing from SuSE, it should be to take a hard look at the SuSE manuals and online help system and implement something similar or better. > I find RH somewhat "smoother" for a lack of a better term, and gives me > faster disk I/O. > Hmmm... I have by and large had the opposite experience. SuSE is smoother for me, so long as you stick w/ the stuff from the disks. Red Hat may be a bit easier to deal w/ when it comes to getting stuff off the Web and putting it on your system. Well, from one SuSE'er to another, Have a lot of fun!
