Hi Rilindo, It was in X mode, so that could be a problem - although it was okay before the upgrade. Maybe there's something that the new progs don't like about my system.
Happily (or not) it's not crashed since so I'm going to leave it alone. If it happens again I'll change it to runlevel 3 and see what happens.
