Yes, going back to basics... it was the cable from my main box to the
router.... It was an old cable that I had previously used from my laptop
to my main box, so it was a crossover cable and not a straight one.. I
just replaced it, and am now in Ping City...  Thank you Leonard for your
help, and reminder about going back to basics ... so to speak.. and to
Devon for his thoughts.
