As another poster said, rerun lilo to rebuild the tabel, which needs to be
in the MBR, otherwise it just isn't seen by the BIOS when booting the system.
There is a reason for the recommendation. :-)
Make sure you don't have an option in the lilo.conf file that puts the
output someplace other than the MBR.
