See my previous mail. Ipchains _or_ iptables, you can't load both. This 
output looks as though the ipchains modules are already loaded.

Iptables and ipchains are both included as modules in the stock kernel.
kernel updates are normally released for good reason, I'd update the 
kernel.

I'd suggest rpm -ivh for kernels. It will leave the old kernel in place 
as a fail safe. The new kernel is added to grub.conf and you shouldn't 
have to do anything beyond installing the kernel rpm. You might want to 
edit /etc/grub.conf, and change the value for the default kernel to boot, 
however. I believe the old kernel will be marked default.
