        Sounds like you have a mixup with password encryption. on your linux box set 
encrypt password = no, and then in windows you have to go to the registry and 
set EnablePlainTextPassword to 1. wish i could tell you the location of that 
key, you should be able to search for it. I stoped using using anything M$ a 
long time ago.
