Devon,
To be sure, I first blew away all ximian rpms and did a full reinstall,
to eliminate that problem.

I then used up2date and performed all the updates, which went fine
(didn't upgrade the kernel)

The steps you outlined seemed to go fine.  But, when I send a test page
to the printer, I get maybe one blinking light, maybe a blank page, but
not a printed page.

If I do echo hello | lpr, I get a message about no printer defined.

Any further thoughts?
