When you have LILO problems you can boot up with the install cdrom and use
the command someone just showed me to get into your system...

linux root=/dev/hda5 initrd=


I think that is right , didnt' have to use it this time on friend but I
think that is what I used bofore.  Otherwise if you boot up with cdrom and
use linux rescue your system is mounted via /mnt/sysimage and you do
whatever it is to getyour system going again.
