TDK and Plextor are the same. Yamaha is not.
I have a Yamaha 8-8-24 and have had no problems. A friend had a 16-10-24
and had never-ending problems with buffer underruns. That's all I can say
since I never saw what his problems were.
He since bought a Plextor drive and hasn't had any problems with it
whatsoever.
