It's runing fine on my laptop and pcmcia works without error. I have a:
CardBus bridge: Texas Instruments PCI1225

On Tue, 17 Apr 2001, Avijit Ghosh blurted out:

AG> Now my main issue thusfar is that my pcmcia stuff doesn't work at
AG>all anymore which means i'm off the net :( (Apparantly it was a bit flakey
AG>w/ the beta's). I've looked in the obvious places (/etc/sysconfig/pcmcia).
AG>The weird thing is, is that if i restart pcmcia (i.e. in init.d) the
AG>cardmgr detects cards so there may be some weird ordering issue w/
AG>my init.d however even when restarting pcmcia it seems to not actually do
AG>anything more than detect the card as being in or not in. (I have a
AG>aironet wireless and a xircom cardbus to play w/. )
AG>
AG> At that point it was 3.00am so I thought today I would try
AG>downgrading my kernel back to 2.2.17-14 since i'm vaguely guessing this
AG>is a weird kernel issue (or optimistically a there are wrong things in my
AG>init.d issue) and I know that it works or at least used to :) but thought
AG>i'd ask you guys to see if there is anything obvious that i'm missing w/
AG>regards to getting pcmcia working again and/or if anyone is having similar
AG>problems w/ laptops..
