7.1 uses kernel 2.4.2-2.  No there aren't any major differences that I can
see if your wolverine is fully updated unless I missed something.

BUT, if you continue to use wolverine you won't be supported just like when
it was beta, although it was SOMEWHAT supported cause it was used to prepare
for the 7.1 release.

So you could consider yourself *on your own* if anything goes wrong more or
less.

Some RH people can correct me if wrong.
