The gateway is defined in one of two places on a RedHatsystem.
/etc/sysconfig/network or /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth?
Look for GATEWAY in ifcfg-eth? or GATEWAY and GATEWAYDEV in network.
/etc/resolc.conf list the name servers for the system to use, and the
default domain to search if the host name in incomplete.
