hi
i installed kernel 2.4.1, and everything is ok, except for...
1> pppd !
when i dial my isp (wvdial), after authentication .. i get the following
message..
--> PPP negotiation detected.
--> Starting pppd at Sat Mar 17 19:54:14 2001
--> PPP daemon has died! (exit code = 1)
--> Disconnecting at Sat Mar 17 19:54:14 2001
--> Auto Reconnect will be attempted in 5 seconds
--> pppd error! Look at files in /var/log for an explanation.
--> Initializing modem.
and the logs say..

What have i missed ?
2> vmware.
i use vmware 2, and when i use vmware-config.pl, it compiles vmmon , but
fails to create vmnet module, and exits. what should i do ?
