Well, I just checked my machine at work and I get the same error. I don't
think it has anything to do with that ethernet card anymore. However, both
systems are running kernels that I built -- perhaps I forgot to include
something?

I tried this 3 times and the third time it seemed to work right. Strange,
I've never had *any* trouble with rp3 before...
I also noticed that sendmail is now very slow to respond when using mutt to
send mail or when just issuing a "mailq" command...
