Sounds like DNS. Are you using PAP to dial in via Kppp. If
not there is an area within the setup of kppp that you can
place you ISP's DNS servers so that it can resolve the
address, or even if your using PAP go ahead and place the
DNS servers within Kppp setup just to be sure. Kppp will
write to /etc/resolv.conf the DNS IP's when you dial in with
PAP. Also a good test to see if it is DNS is to type a DNS
address in IP format in on your browser and see if the
website comes up. If it does and it will not with the www
address then most certainly you have a DNS problem. Her is
one of the IP address for www.yahoo.com. See if you can
bring the site up with this IP: 216.115.105.2. Then try your
www.yahoo.com again to confirm DNS problems.

Subject: KPPP problems
I connect to my ISP by using KPPP and it says I'm
connected but when I try to run Netscape the browser
says that it can't find the website eventhough the
website is www.yahoo.com . Please help. I also have a
modem that uses a LUCENT chipset and I got the driver
for the chipset, now what am I suppose to do with it?
