    You mean, the fact that my RH5.2 server has the following process:

USER     PID %CPU %MEM  SIZE   RSS TTY STAT START   TIME COMMAND
root       2  0.0  0.0     0     0  ?  SW  Feb  8 71224876:01 (kflushd)

    ...that's not normal?  It's always had that, since day one that the server
was installed.  Yes, I've applied patches, fixes and what not, however that
process always showed that after some extended uptime (the most that server was
up for was some 323 days)

    The last time that machine restarted (due to an extended power failure and
batteries running out of juice) was Feb 8th.  It's been 15 days and already I
have that large number.  When the serves first comes up, it looks fine, but
soon after that...
