Ashley:

The current bug fixed kernel is the 2.2.17-14 in rpm. But
yes of course you can build your own 2.2.18 version via
sources or 2.4 or there are tarballs of both also
kernel.org. The next release in the 7.0 series is still in
beta. It is called "Fisher". Check out Redhat site under
"Red Hat news and Events". The dates, don't know but someone
mentioned here that RedHat usually roles one out when spring
hits which should be RH 7.1 with kernel 2.4. Should be nice
or if it's not they will fix it up again for RH 7.2.

    I have a RH7.0 box that's currently running kernel
2.2.17. When I
check the update agent, there doesn't seem to be any update
to the
2.2.18 version, let alone the 2.4 one. Are there any plans
for this?
If so, when?

Or, can I roll my own 2.2.18 (from source) with no
problems? Are
there any snags I should look for if and when I do this?
The same goes
for the 2.4 series.
