Here at my office, we use Arkeia. Since I had never dealt with backup
software, it took me a while to understand how to run it properly, but
once I got that down, everything has been running well.
They also have a free edition, as long as you only want to back up the
linux server and 2 clients. You have to install and run client software,
so if your other machine isn't supported, you have to find a
work-around.
You might also look into Lone-Tar, BRU, and Bakbone. It really all comes
down to what kind of assorted systems you need to backup and what kind
of tape drives you have.
