Hi all,
I have been trying to read through the
elm and pine stuff to decide what to do
for a console mail program. If I use
either
of these programs I think I also need
sendmail. If I use pine it says I need
Imap is this in addition to sendmail?
Also to get the mail from my ISP's pop
mail server would I use fetchmail or
something else? How does Netscape
recieve and sendmail without either
of these programs?
I assume you must install the programs
to get and send the mail first and
then the mail reader, is this right.
When i tried to load the security
fixes for 6.2 for imap, and sendmail
they complained about missing library,
I suspect they wanted a newer glibc.
Can I compile the most current version
from source with the older glibc?
I uninstalled it till I solved the
problem.
