While I agree with Bret's choice, be cautious about scp. It's still
buggy in OpenSSH under some circumstances. If it works well for you,
that's great, but certain combinations of OS and server seem to have a
voodoo component. Works sometimes, doesn't work others. Test it
under all anticipated client/server combinations before you commit, if
you have other users to consider. I actually run both distributions,
one of them on a nonstandard port, to cover my butt in rare instances
of difficulty.
OpenSSH is by far easier to configure (the SSH Communcations package
has the feel of a series of afterthoughts), and sports much cleaner
integration of protocols 1 and 2.
