backing up email & user accounts

hi,

        I have an existing mail server (RH 6.1) with hundreds of email
accounts, my problem
is how do I backed up my email & user accounts so that if I reformat my
system I would not need to re-enter all accounts manually including
their rigths and passwords? What
commands do I have to use to back them up?
