hi,,
i have cable modem for redhat7 and network card :)......
the network card ( SMC8432 is detected fine i believe no errors anyway
in bootup ) is detected but i can't get the "network confiugration"
settings right?!!!!!!!!!
there are tons of them and while i'm pluggin in what I think? is right
i'm not sure.....besides i can't "activate" the darn thing!!!!!!!!
if someone knows of a tutorial /doc site for "all " those settings :)
please let me know.......the modem is a 3com homeconnect
modem.......i've done nothing special with the modem just installed
correct module for network card.......i couldn't see in docs for cable
modem howto that I needed to ( nothing on this modem that I saw ) undo
pnp ???
anyway i have all the numbers,,IP addy, (2) and mask and Host,
gateway,,,,,,i'm just not sure right way to plug them in......
