I looked in the /etc/inetd.conf and

ftp stream tcp nowait root /usr/sbin/tcpd in.ftpd -l -a

was not commented out. I am connecting and putting in a valid user name
and password and it is telling me that the password is incorrect and not
letting me in. The funny thing is I can turn right around and telnet in
and it let's me in using the same user name and password. Time for a
reinstall ?
