Apologies if this has been covered recently but the list archive search
facilities on Red Hat aren't working at present.

I have RH6.2 installed, with rpm manager rpm-3.0.5-9.6x.i386.rpm I would
like to start using rpm manager rpm-4.0-4.i386.rpm as shipped with RH7.0. I
understand there are some differences between how package info and what has
been installed is recorded in the database.

My questions are:

1] Any special activities required to convert the package database into the
form used by the later version of rpm manager?
2] Is it simply a case of installing rpm-4 over the top of rpm-3
3] Anything else I've overlooked?

thanks in advance
