while i'm not entirely sure its relevant to Xfree86_4.0 perse or
not....since going to Redhat 7.0 which is the default...gnome menus now
are just as quick as kde/windows always has been...
other than that can't say since I'd never used other intensive apps that
much .......
from what I recall reading in linux magazine i believe is that the
increase is most notable if you're on a system with more than one
display?!
