Vendors are periodically mentioned on alt.comp.periphs.mainboard.asus, but a
check of Price Watch (www.pricewatch.com) reveals that Vega Computers
(www.vegapc.com) is selling the K6-2+ for $75. That's where I bought mine.
Several vendors listed on Price Watch are selling K6-III+ processors for around
$60. You'd probably be better off going that route. When I bought my K6-2+,
the K6-III+ was impossible to find.
By the way, I've put up a new page covering the K6-2+/K6-III+:
http://linuxsavvy.com/staff/jgotts/k6-2+/
Even if you don't break down and order a chip, give the page a gander.
