I am not quite sure if enlgish might be the appropriate language at this
list, nevertheless I'll give it a try...:-)
I am new to RH 7.0 which is installed on Pc encompassing a Pentium 2 MMX
processor and some additional devices like an Atapi- CDROM, LS-120
device, RAM 64 MB and last an floppy. So it is nothing unusual, I have
installed RH 7.0 as it comes from CD with xfree 4.0.1.
Since I have installed this distri it seems to me that performance of my
system decreases undesirably, I use the latest GNOME Desktop and so
on.....
I noticed that the performance is quite low, therefor I would like to
know if there are some possibilities for "finetuning" my RH for
increasing the performance !?
I know that I should have a look at "hdparm", but before I start fooling
around with this I request you for other (maybe less critical) solution
to my problem.
