Words of advice: This isn't Microsoft. When it screws up, you don't go
reinstalling it unless it's overly borked. This isn't the land of "reboot
everytime a file gets accessed" or "reinstall because a config file needs
to be edited."
Now.. it is true that sometimes a reinstall is the cleanest choice, as
long as it's not the whole distro.
You have what looks to be a common font problem with X... that is.. it has
a problem finding something important, so it just won't start because
fixed is a highly needed font.
Have you gone through your X config file or your font directories yet?
Don't take anything I've said to be rude or anything.. part of learning is
thinking for yourself :)
font server.. XFree86-xfs
"rpm -qa | grep XFree86" to see all your X packages that are installed.
"man rpm" for help on how to use rpm.
As of my writing this email, I'm the only one (apparently) to email you
with anything whatsoever... so please don't chew my head off :)
