I've got a couple of HP's - don't know if they are 300X or not, plus some
other print servers.  You just set them up as a remote host.  If they are
multiport, you'll neew to specify the port:

deskjet:\
        :sd=/var/spool/lpd/deskjet:\
        :mx#0:\
        :sh:\
        :rm=pserver:\
        :rp=raw2:
